The day our world changed forever....
In order to understand our new adventure we must journey back 9 months to when it all began.
The Husband and I had already "planned" this pregnancy and we were excited about adding to our family. We have a three year old little boy, Matthew "The Great" Tucker and he is Awesome!! So why not add more awesomeness to the mix! So...we find out that we're expecting and I make my first OB appointment.
At our first appointment they confirm the pregnancy and my doc says something very odd "you're measuring big for 4 weeks." I immediately thought "I know I've put on some weight but what are you trying to say?" My doc nonchalantly let's those words just fly in the air as she schedules my first ultrasound.
I mention the conversation with my doc to the Husband and he starts to sweat. The T word emerges from his lips.
Pause: just 2.5 years ago when I was pregnant with "The Great" the Husband had prayed for twins...
I shrug it off and tell him not a chance and no need to worry. On September 17, 2015 I went in for the ultrasound to check for A heartbeat. I told the Husband to go to work and I will call after the appointment. The technician begins the ultrasound and she asks how I've been feeling. Unlike my first pregnancy I tell her I've been very nauseous and just feeling ill. She pauses as says look up at the screen, I think I know why you're nauseous. I turn my head and say "Is that two?" She nods her head and says "Call your husband!"
So I call my husband who picks up the phone on the first ring. I give him the news and all I hear is crickets.....well moving on.
No words.....the Lord has a funny sense of humor.
