Last week I had all three babies at home with me. That's right 10 week old twins and a busy talkative 3 year old boy. Here are the lessons learned from that adventure:
10. Play dates are really for the parents. In a nutshell, adult conversation while the kids run around and tire themselves out.
9. Three year olds have a three minute attention span do not pay for two games of bowling because one is enough.
8. Three year olds do not understand "I'm feeding your brother and sister so I will feed you next." "I'm hungry" means why isn't my food on the table.
7. All activity away from the house should be completed during the babies morning naps.
6. If your spouse works outside the home they need to be in the car driving home at 5 pm on the dot. Mama needs a break!
5. Stay at home moms....I take my hat off to you, bow at your feet, kiss the pinky ring! How do you manage it all?
4. Synchronized nap time is an art form that when done properly will allow mommy to eat, use the bathroom and sit down for at least 30 minutes
3. Don't stress over small stuff, laughter can get you through just about anything. At this age they think mommy is perfect and I am....right. 😏
2. Recharging means going out to dinner with your spouse WITHOUT the children. Now I'm ready for round two!
1. My babies are so precious and gifts that I love dearly. The memories from last week will forever be embedded in my heart and mind.
