So I returned to work on Monday, July 18th after being on maternity leave for 14 weeks. Listed below are the top ten observations I've made since being back at work.
10. Early morning feedings prepare you for early morning alarm clocks.
9. Falling asleep in mid sentence when company visits is acceptable while falling asleep at your desk while typing an email is frowned upon.
8. I will probably lose about 5 pounds now that I don't have access to the refrigerator 24 hours a day.
7. Going back to work means dinner is on me! All those lovely meals prepared by family and friends......DONE!
6. "You have to be at work at 6:30 am? Ok, I will be wide awake and ready to play at 2 am."
5. The afternoon nap while the twins napped was clutch. It will be missed.
4. Taking a shower, putting out your clothes along with the kids and preparing bottles at night equate to 15 minutes of extra sleep.
3. Now that I'm back at work does this mean that the husband can join in on night duty?!?!
2. Taking those two extra additional weeks off during maternity leave was well worth it.....maybe I'll take two more.
1. Non stop talking from The Great and endless smiles from ME are the highlights of a long day....seeing the husband isn't too bad either.
