The twins have reached another milestone! They are four months old today. Let's recap the past 30 days leading up to their four month birthday.
10. We took our first overnight road trip to Bogle Farms courtesy of Vertical Church. I was nervous but the husband convinced us to go and so glad that we did. ME did great in an unfamiliar environment and they were on their best behavior.
9. They have conquered every breast fed babies fear: drinking from a bottle. Instead of coming home from daycare parched because they went on a bottle strike they now come home with their bellies full.
8. We are now sleeping in our own room in our own beds. Well.....Ethan sleeps in the crib while Princess Madelyn prefers her rock n play.
7. Story time for ME means lunging forward into the book to get a closer look at Elmo and to test mommy's reflexes.
6. Madelyn was an arm flailing machine and she had to be swaddled in order to get any sleep. She successfully broke free from the swaddle blanket and hasn't looked back.
5. Ethan has perfected his grunt/laugh. He cracks up whenever we tickle his tummy, lightly squeeze his chunky thighs and kiss his cheeks.
4. Tummy time has turned into an Olympic sport where Ethan and Madelyn compete to see who can lift their chest the highest off the floor.
3. Communication with ME is wonderful! Ooo's, aaahh's, iiii's or an occasional toot make for great conversation at the end of the work day.
2. Ethan loves to hold Madelyn's hand while Madelyn likes to suck Ethan's hand. We're starting to see the twin connection manifest itself and it is soooo cute.
1. They know that they belong to a loving family. They love to watch Matthew play, rest easy on daddy's shoulder and give mommy the best smiles.
Sidenote: I know we're a little late with the month tags but better late than never.
